Pakyong, 13 April (IPR): The inaugural day of postal ballot voting for Category 4 saw the participation of 71 electors today at the Postal Voting Centre, RURBAN, Pakyong.
The Postal Voting facility at the Rurban Complex, RDD, is scheduled to operate until April 14, 2024, catering to the essential services falling under Category 4.
Furthermore, the second phase of Home Voting also witnessed three absentee voters aged 85 and above in the senior citizen category (AVSC) and persons with disabilities (PwD) with a 40% benchmark disability (AVPD).
The second phase of Home Voting will continue until April 16, 2024.
The collection of Postal Ballots was efficiently carried out by the designated team and subsequently delivered to the respective Assistant Returning Officers in the secure room at Dikling Sr Sec School.
Upon meticulous examination, the Postal Ballots have been safely stored in the secure room at Dikling Senior Secondary School, ensuring strict security protocols including continuous CCTV surveillance and dual-sealing.
It is also to mention that all the concerned officers & officials on election duty who have submitted Form-12 for Postal Ballot and have not cast their votes at the identified facilitation centres on the specified dates are once again requested to cast their votes on April 15, 2024, at 10 a.m. at RURBAN Community Complex Hall, RDD, Pakyong.
